Conversation:
Jane: Hi, do you think it's
going to rain today?
John: Yes, that's right. I heard the weather forecast and they said it will
rain all day.
Jane: I totally agree. I can feel the humidity in the air. I think we should
stay at home!
John: I couldn't agree more. It's good to stay at home today.
Jane: Do you think we should cancel our picnic?
John: I disagree. We can still have a picnic indoors.
Jane: That's a good idea. We can have it in the park pavilion.
John: I'm afraid I don't agree. I think it's better to have it at home.
Jane: I don't think so. I think the pavilion is a better option.
Grammar:
Past Continuous
----The Past Continuous is
used to talk about an action that was in progress in the past حدت مستمر في الماضي and was interrupted by another short action in the past تمت مقاطعته بفعل قصير آخر في الماضي
--It is formed : was/were
+ V+ (-ing).
Example:
I was studying when she called. (the action of studying was in progress and was interrupted by the action
of calling)
They were having lunch when the fire alarm went off. (the
action of having lunch was in progress and was interrupted by the action of the
fire alarm going off)
